No Looting in Japan??

Is it just me or does it seem weird that one of the biggest natural disasters has just happened but there is no looting. We know that there is no looting in Japan because the media, who are searching for images of looting among the devastation, are shocked to find that there is none. The media is always reporting the looting, pillaging and rapes that continue to plague the Haitian people. But in Japan, it seems people generally look out for one another, the media is reduced to settling for images of “solidarity” among the Japanese people. “Perhaps even more impressive than Japan’s technological power is its social strength…” writes British reporter. “This is quite unusual among human cultures,” he adds. We should look at this and think about Katrina or Haiti and try and help each other out more as a people.
